This is for the fall semester:
I want you to choose a specific cell in the human body and describe it. Use google slides and share it with me at [email protected].
Start here: www.studyread.com/types-cells-human-body/
choose a type of cell but make sure it is specific and not a large class of cells like muscle cells or immune cells. The studyread site gets you started by talking about big categories of cells but you should then search for types of cells within those big categories.
The presentation should be 1-3 pages and include a real picture and a drawn picture of the cell as well as information on what the cell does, where you would find it, and interesting things about the cell. We'll look at these together when I return.

This is for spring semester (april 15)
Work in pairs. Make a presentation for a disease that you pick. You need a description and picture of the organism that causes the disease, common symptoms and how to treat it. Include how you get it and how to avoid it. Don't put inappropriate pictures in your presentation but you can choose an STI if you want. If you choose something like diabetes, you won't have an organism that causes it but you will still need to talk about causes and also the different types of diabetes. Put it in google slides and share it with [email protected]
